White Post Farm
White Post Farm is one of the best places on Long Island during the Autumn season. The farm holds it's Fall festivities every weekend during the month of October and was voted the Best of Long Island by the Long Island Press Newspaper.
The farm is in central Suffolk County and is located at 250 Old Country Rd, Melville, NY.
There are plenty of autumn activities - plan to spend at least a few hours at White Post Farm ...
Feeding the Animals - Bottle feed the baby goats! Get up close with the Ring-Tailed Lemurs! There are many unusual breeds of animals at the petting zoo. You can hand feed them and read up on the specific breeds on the posted signs.
Playground - Let your kids run around in the huge play area while you can sit and relax. The playground has many wooden structures and there is plenty of room for kids to run around and play with the sand boxes, slides, pirate ship, bus, and jeep.
Letting your kids ride on a pony - There are pony rides at the White Post Farms.
Going on a Hayride - The farm offers free unlimited hayrides with admission. The large tractor takes you for a relaxing ride into the cornfields.
Visiting the Garden Center - Where you can purchase a wide variety of potted plants and annuals and perennials. They are grown in the Farm's greenhouse, which allows for fresh and healthy plants. There are over 40 different varieties of vegetables and herbs. The Garden Center has fall crafts and unique outdoorsy decor for your lawn and garden.

You can get up close with all kinds of birds and let them perch on your feeding stick. Little kids will get a thrill seeing the colorful birds up close (adults too!).

White Post Farms also hosts birthday parties and is visited each year by many schools and scout groups.
